Not sure which crossover to choose between the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Nissan Rogue? We took two comparably-equipped trim levels, the Outlander ES and Rogue S, to compare them.
The Rogue and the Outlander both have similar base prices at $23,820 and $23,495 with no additional equipment (though in that example, the Outlander does still technically have the advantage, however small). When comparably equipped, however, the gap widens even further, with the Outlander sitting at $24,390 in comparison to the Nissan Rogue S’s price tag of $26,470.
While the Nissan Rogue S does offer the option of third row seats, it’s not a standard feature, so drivers will have to shell out extra money for it. The Outlander ES comes standard with third row seats that are versatile and adaptable to your lifestyle.
Drivers like to have a little bit of extra comfort in the interior of their vehicle, even if it’s just a small touch here and there. The Mitsubishi Outlander ES provides drivers with a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel for an upscale touch and also provides automatic climate control at no extra cost; both are features the Nissan Rogue S only offers as available features.
Verdict: If you’re looking for value, the answer isn’t the Nissan Rogue S. Go for the Mitsubishi Outlander instead.
